Apprentice Pump Technician - Full Time - Carrum Downs, Australia

We are looking for an Apprentice Pump Technician  to join our FE_WIBU  team in Australia . This role will work alongside one of our experienced service technicians and will require regular travel to customers to support flow service requirements. 


 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Assisting service and repair, installation and maintenance of pumps, mixers and other associated equipment for all Sulzer customers within Australia and New Zealand.
  • Attends designated work sites to help carry out maintenance and inspection of equipment at waste water pump stations, treatment works, clean water distribution networks and desalination plants etc
  • Assists with collection and delivery of all repaired pumps and pumping equipment to and from the Customers site to the local Service Centres
  • Works in conjunction with the sales team to help maximize pump sales
  • Attending all theory sections of the apprenticeship and complete E-Profiling.
  • General house-keeping duties.
  • Travel to Sulzer's Service Centre in Laverton as require to complete any practical training as required.
  • Report to Mentors.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Work experience or expressed interest in mechanical rotating equipment, particularly pumps
  • Valid drivers license
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Good level of time management.
  • Completion of Secondary School – Year 10/11/12.
