Join our team within the Services division of Burnaby, BC.  Sulzer Pumps (Canada) Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager.  The ideal candidate will work onsite as a member of the Project Management Team. 

 

In this role, activities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the Project Manager throughout the full project lifecycle: order processing, execution, shipment confirmation, and payment collection.
  • Acting as a key communication link between clients and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of quality products that meet specifications and policies.
  • Managing small projects independently (~80%) and assisting with administrative tasks, including document control (~20%).
  • Reviewing orders, processing updates, managing change orders, and ensuring timely document exchange with customers.
  • Preparing status reports, collaborating on schedules, and forecasting completion dates.
  • Coordinating and hosting customer visits for witness tests, plant tours, and other activities.
  • Supporting accounts receivable (A/R) collections and handling tasks such as budget tracking, order entry, and warranty management.
     

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Education:  A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or a Technologist Diploma with relevant experience.
  • Work Experience:  2+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project contracts, terms, and financial principles (an asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with scheduling software or SAP is a plus.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure with diverse stakeholders.

Location:  The Parts Processing Centre is located in Burnaby, BC.
