Spare Parts & Retrofit Proposal Manager Europe - France or Germany possible location

You will manage the Spare Parts and Retrofit commercial offer activity and your associated decentralised team (France/Germany) within Europe in order to achieve commercial objectives in line with Sulzer's global strategy.
You will work closely with the Europe Sales Director to build the sales strategy and increase the conversion of offers into firm orders within all the markets served by Sulzer.
In a context of organizational change aimed at bringing your team closer to customers, your main responsibilities will be:
Management of inquiries and offers creation

Overall responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied
- Ensure that initiated tenders meet company requirements in terms of selection, pricing, terms and conditions and lead time in accordance with the compliance regulations, delegation of authority guidelines, export control,...
- Through the quality of the proposals issued by your teams, you contribute to improving the conversion rate
- Organize preparation of pro-active quotations based on Market analysis and customer insight evaluation
Sales support:
- Align sales strategy with Europe Sales Director for must win bids
- Ensure that the sales team are adequately supported and that projects are launched in a timely manner
- Develop, implement and review pricing strategy for spare parts
- Support sales force in the tender follow-up process
- Lead lost bid analysis to capitalize on the lost projects and identify potential improvements
- Participate in customer visits
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of engineering or Business school, you have a relevant experience of dealing with complex tenders in a demanding industrial environment
- Experience of contract negotiations in a commercial environment
- Proficiency in key financial indicators (EBITDA, cash flow)
- Strong sales acumen
- Ability / experience to manage international and decentralised team and generate a strong sense of customer service
- Fluent English / French and/or German - other Europan languages is a plus (e.g. Spanish)
