Manager Finance and Controlling (100%)


Reporting to the Regional CFO Chemtech ERA (Europe, Russia, Africa), you will be responsible for Finance and Controlling for the whole legal entity. You will work closely with the local teams in Brno and abroad, the regional Business Partners and Stakeholders and the Regional CFO.


Your main tasks and responsibilities


  • Processing of day to day accounting transactions
  • General book-keeping (local/tax accounting and IFRS) and project accounting
  • Constant monitoring of the financial performance
  • Ensure adherence to Sulzer Accounting Policy and Procedures
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, monitor liquidity and securing on-time customer payments in close collaboration with project managers
  • Preparation of monthly and year-end accounts in accordance with corporate timetables and reporting requirements
  • Analysis of monthly results, project close-outs and cost center costs and propose / initiate appropriate corrective measures
  • Preparation of the monthly management reporting package including analyses & commentary
  • Lead Budget, Forecast and Estimate processes in accordance with corporate and internal management timetables
  • Liaising with internal/external auditors, tax authorities and other relevant bodies
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory / social / etc. requirements as well as with IFRS guidelines
  • Play key role in currently ongoing roll-out of Chemtech SAP template


Your Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 7-10 years of solid work experience in finance/accounting/controlling with proven track record as responsible in accounting, preferably in an international industrial company
  • Deep knowhow of Czech statutory accounting, IFRS a plus
  • Fluent (spoken and written) in English and Czech is a must
  • Experienced user of SAP-ERP (FI/CO)
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives, independently and against tight timelines
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytically strong person with high energy to drive for result
  • A flexible and adaptive team player with a positive attitude and high integrity
