Operations Manager - Full Time - Bridgeport (NJ), United States

We are looking for a Operations Manager to join our Services_AME team in United States .

Your main tasks and responsibilities: 

• Manage, direct, and provide leadership to all operational aspects of assigned Service Center (capital expense, quality, cost of goods sold, and delivery)     
• Supervise Cost Estimation, Project Coordination, Mfg. Eng., Production Control, all direct labor staff, Hydraulic Testing, Master Scheduling, and administrative staff. 
• Work closely with the established sales network to secure volume levels laid out in budget and Mid-Range Plan.   
•  Participate in special studies and analyses as needed.    
• Work directly with other Sulzer Service Centers to coordinate continued integration of Global Manufacturing Network in support of cost reduction programs and targets.  
• Work directly with established sales network and Alliance management structure in order to secure strategic alliances that benefit and support Sulzer’s Mid-Range Plan objectives
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide safety program which includes following all safety policies and procedures.       
• Supports and cooperates in company-wide Total Quality Management (TQM) effort.      
• Performs other miscellaneous assignments and research projects as assigned.  
• Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Service Center       

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Business experience involving operations, planning, finance, and marketing
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• 5-7 years’ experience with pumps or similar equipment preferred
• Ability to develop and foster a team environment
