Operations Coordinator, Bozeman Lab - Part Time 50% - Bozeman (MT)United States

 

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the smooth day to day operations of the Sulzer Clean Fuels Chemical Licensing, Research and Development (R&D) Facility. This is a part-time position for a 20-hour work week. The preferred schedule is half days (5 hours/day) Monday through Thursday. This is an in-person role, with occasional opportunities to work remotely. This role may grow into a full-time position in the future.

 

Join our CT_Technology & Innovation  team within the Chemtech division in the United States as an Operations Coordinator, Bozeman Lab to help us take Clean Fuels & Chemical Licensing to the next level. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Supports all lab personnel with chemical and equipment ordering
  • Manages purchase orders in system and tracks with internal documentation
  • Tracks all R&D expenditures in real time, as well as all R&D work requests and projects
  • Coordinates and follows up on domestic and international chemical sample shipments
  • Proactively maintains vendor maintenance contracts for fume hoods, fire extinguishers, hazardous waste removal, laboratory analytical instruments, etc.

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university preferred, at least five to seven years of related experience and/or training
  • General knowledge of chemistry or some scientific background or experience strongly preferred
  • Works precisely and has attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
