We are currently looking for a proactive and commercially-minded Operations Project Manager to join our UK & Nordics Services team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and are passionate about delivering complex projects with excellence, this could be the role for you.
Purpose of the Role
As Operations Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful execution of assigned projects, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, quality, financial performance, and timely delivery. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead and promote positive health and safety behaviours across all project activities
- Take ownership of all project deliverables including hardware, financial performance, documentation, and customer satisfaction
- Evaluate customer requirements and ensure tenders align with business capabilities and commercial policy
- Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality, compliant tenders in support of the sales team
- Manage all aspects of project profitability and risk, ensuring all deliverables are met to agreed timescales
- Coordinate project launches, kick-off meetings, and handovers to internal teams
- Prepare quality documentation and ensure alignment with customer expectations and industry standards
- Collaborate with procurement and operations to manage timelines for bought-out and refurbished parts
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maximise project success
- Attend client meetings and provide regular, proactive communication on job status and customer requirements
- Manage project finances, including invoicing, forecasting, and cost control
- Ensure timely project close-outs and accurate documentation
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:
- HND in engineering or business, or relevant industry experience
- Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally within a technical or industrial environment
- Strong contract negotiation and commercial skills
- Solid background in supplier and customer relationship management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP or other ERP systems
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to act independently and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
