Your placement will be within our Sulzer Services UK & Nordics business — an industry leading aftermarket service provider of technology-based solutions, fast execution and expertise in complex maintenance projects servicing our own original equipment and third party equipment. Across a network of service centres, we service a diverse customer base partnering with them to maximise sustainability and life cycle cost effectiveness

This placement offers exciting rotations across 12 months in the following areas:

  • LEAN / Continuous Improvement
  • Procurement
  • Quality
  • Planning & Scheduling

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate on identifying, prioritising, and implementing initiatives that boost productivity, enhance quality, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Contribute to cross-functional transformation programs, measuring their impact and effectiveness.
  • Lead innovation by improving systems, processes, and technology.
  • Advocate for operational excellence benefits across the organisation, fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop new ideas and concepts while minimizing risk and disruption to core business functions.
  • Ensure robust business cases and return on investment (ROI) for our capital investment program.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging economies of scale within supply chain management.
  • Collaborate on Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) initiatives to boost efficiency and output.

Experience and knowledge required:

  • Studying towards a relevant degree in supply chain / operations / business management or a related field. 
  • Entrepreneurial and curious

Please note, there will be some travel required with this role and therefore, a full UK driving licence is essential. Evidence of the right to work in the UK will also be required.
