Senior Application Engineer (m/w) – Full-time – Allschwil, Switzerland

Join our Sales team in Allschwil to contribute on the client satisfaction and experience.

 

In this role you will be accountable for performing engineering work within the framework of the projects of the Process Design Group, especially for distillation, absorption, extraction and related fields:

  • Full responsibility for the process design of equipment and units for the thermal separation, especially for systems with high complexity
  • Provide technical support for Sales and APT (Application & Process Technologies), especially for systems with high complexity
  • Perform basic engineering work (process)
  • Being accountable for the project management with technical and commercial responsibility for engineering projects (e.g. studies)
  • Support commissioning and optimization of units for thermal separation
  • Optimize work processes for Process engineering
  • Train and educate colleagues, front sales organization (including agents) on a regular basis based on the company requirements

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Chemical engineer with University degree
  • Experience of 5-10 years in plant design
  • Knowledge in separation technologies and plant design
  • Leadership and Sales skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent stakeholder management on different managerial levels
  • Ability to work independently, having a customer focus and proven negotiation skills
  • IT knowledge in simulation software
  • Fluent in German and English, both oral and written. Further languages are beneficial
  • Travel requirements: max 30% of the time

Location: We are based in Allschwil. This is a great growing place and is just next to the nice city of Basel, accessible via bus and tram.
