Business Development Manager (EMS) - Full Time - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a/an Business Development Manager (EMS)  to join our Services_INMEC  team in United Arab Emirates .

Purpose of the job: To ensure long term sustainable development of the Electromechanical Services (EMS) offering covering the Middle East and CIS regions. Responsible for developing the product line business development plan, building customer networks and influencing/achieving sustainable growth by promoting a culture for being the customers trusted service provider. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Act as main contact for all business development activities relating to all electromechanical service offerings in Middle East & CIS regions.
  • Work together with sub-region management team to develop, lead and drive progress of the strategic plan for the EMS product lines within the sub-region.
  • Growing sustainable order intake / sales revenue streams for the EMS product line through increasing the number of jobs, maximising revenue from each job and exploiting market intelligence both commercially and externally.
  • Achieving a high level of success in growing order intake / sales revenue by developing winning customer strategies, ensuring the highest quality delivery.
  • Developing long term contracts with customers that promote Sulzer as the go-to service partner for ALL rotating equipment, such as rotating equipment turnaround management.
  • Developing high level “influence” networks.
  • Building strong relationships with client organisations focused upon developing a preferential relationship and creating mutually rewarding relationships for both clients and Sulzer.
  • Building strong relationships with existing and new target customers in which the delivery of value-added services and products (including transactional intelligence and development of winning strategies) is at the core of developing a “trusted rotating equipment service provider” relationship with customers.
  • Promote a culture for collaboration within the sub-region sales/operations teams and wider regional teams.
  • Input into the sub-region EMS operational plan.
  • Responsibility for supporting in the identification of opportunities for the other Services product lines such as, pump service, parts, retrofits, TS and GTS.
  • Ensure application of Sulzer Policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Degree in management, engineering, science or business discipline.
  • Experience of working with DC & AC, LV & HV: motors, generators and the associated site services.
  • +5 years experience of similar BDM positions in Middle East.
  • Track record of leading sustainable growth of business revenue streams.
  • Experience of formulating and implementing business strategy.
  • Understanding of P&L and forecast/budget management.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Drive for results & strategic mindset.
  • Business & people orientation.
  • Sub-region knowledge.
  • Communication & negotiating skills.
  • Ability to act independently.
  • General computer skills.
