As a Workshop Support Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the main assembly and production departments throughout the overhaul process. You’ll assist with various tasks that help keep the workshop running smoothly, ensuring high levels of housekeeping, supporting logistics, and completing key steps in the repair cycle.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety guidelines, using the correct protective equipment.
  • Assist with logistics support, operating forklifts and moving materials using specialised tools, as well as managing deliveries and collections locally.
  • Support dismantling, shot blasting, and painting of machines and associated equipment.
  • Clean and prepare parts for assembly, ensuring components are kitted and ready for production.
  • Maintain shortage lists and collaborate with the team to align parts with production plans.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience with shot blasting and painting is desirable.
  • Experience with overhead crane operations.
  • Forklift truck driving experience.
  • Joinery/boxing skills are an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence.
