Sulzer Ellon is looking for a Technical Focal Point - Pumps to lead the charge in solving complex technical challenges and delivering unparalleled service to our customers. As the Technical Focal Point, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things pumps, supporting our Service Centres and customers across the region. Whether it’s troubleshooting intricate technical issues, providing expert advice, or attending customer meetings, you’ll be pivotal in keeping our operations flowing smoothly and creating value through innovative solutions.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for workshops, ensuring technical procedures are executed flawlessly.
  • Representing Sulzer at customer meetings and witness tests, offering reassurance and technical clarity.
  • Preparing professional reports, including Root Cause Analyses, inspection findings, and recommendations for upgrades.
  • Offering tailored repair solutions based on workshop feedback and participating in on-site failure investigations.
  • Delivering training and sharing your expertise to empower colleagues and enhance our technical capabilities.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to optimise work execution and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • An engineering degree, a nationally recognised higher-level qualification, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Proven expertise in pump service and repair, including balancing and vibration analysis.
  • A track record of dealing directly with customers, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and a knack for creating concise reports and presentations.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and willingness to travel to Sulzer and customer locations.
