Project Manager - Gas Compression - Full Time - AberdeenUnited Kingdom

Following a recent significant contract win, Sulzer Aberdeen is actively recruiting for the position of Gas Compression Project Manager. This role involves assuming comprehensive responsibility for all aspects of assigned projects, encompassing engineering, financial and commercial outcomes, quality documentation, dispute management, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery. Your expertise will be key to achieving customer satisfaction and overall project success.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide robust support to the sales team, ensuring timely and professional preparation of tenders.
  • Assess customer requirements, guaranteeing the company's ability to meet both service/product expectations and pricing for tenders.
  • Take overall responsibility for ensuring that tenders align with company commercial guidelines 
  • Assume overall responsibility for project profitability.
  • Launch assigned projects in a timely and professional manner, coordinating timely client and internal kick-off meetings, completing and distributing relevant project handover documentation to pertinent personnel.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation and customer quality plans.
  • Foster and sustain relationships and interfaces with key functions to drive all aspects of Engineering, Procurement, and Production.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Engineering or Project Management (or related disciplines).
  • Must have a background in involvement with complex engineering projects. Consideration will be given to those with an alternative background in Design, Sales, Proposals, etc.
  • Experience with gas turbine engine compressors or related technologies is preferred.
  • Possess strong organisational skills.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts in a commercial environment is essential.
  • Demonstrate experience in supplier/customer management.
